Asuro Programmable Robot Kit

Asuro is a kit developed at the German Centre for Air and Space Travel for an autonomous multi-sensor robot. In addition to six collision sensors and an optical unit for following a line, Asuro has two odometers and several display elements. The supplied duplex infrared interface permits wireless programming, as well as a remote control with a PC. The brain of the robot is a RISC processor that also permits the processing of complex programs. Programming is carried out in C, where predefined functions can be accessed to actuate the two motors, the sensors and displays. A detailed instruction manual describes the assembly process and the installation of the software as well as step-by-step instructions on programming the Asuro using numerous examples. Asuro is ideal for hobbyists, school and student projects, schools, training in the electrical engineering and mechatronics fields as well as university course. This is not a kit for the faint-hearted! Some soldering required.
