Video Balun Kit BNC to UTP CAT 5

Extend the transmission distance of your CCTV cabling without the need for a video amplifier and without blowing your budget. To use the baluns, strip away your UTP CAT 5 cable at the ends and use a stranded pair connecting one wire to the positive terminal and the other to the negative terminal. Note the colour of the wires used and repeat the process at the other end. Potentially, you can connect up to four cameras using one UTP CAT 5 cable. It is also suitable for multimedia presentation, video conferencing and remote monitor setups. The balun accepts all composite video signals. Transmission distance is up to 600m for B&W, 400m for colour and up to 1000m with an active receiver or hub. They are passive and require no power. This kit includes two baluns one to act as the transmitter and the other the receiver. It is suitable for video only. It has built-in protection against interference and transients.
